Just a tad overdramatic...aren't we?

When the heart breaks
Tears become unstoppable
Hope dries up
Clouds descend and linger on

When trust is shattered
All light disappears
And memory becomes shadow
A dagger to love

When despair takes hold
Life loses its luster
Time has no meaning
And joy is a mockery

Deserted and forgotten
Alone in misery
Near to giving up
So sad

In case one may forget

My Grandmother's favorite movie was the Sound of Music.  In honor of my Grandma I would like to share a few of my favorite things about her.

Great sense of humor and chocolate lover
Kind hearted friend and a feisty grandmother
Strength of character she always brings
These are a few of my favorite things

Bowls of granola and piping hot chili
Adept at sewing and laughs when we're silly
Enjoyed the theater, those with talent to sing
These are a few of my favorite things

Made you feel welcome and led by example
Hugs at the door with her goodies to sample
Her impact resounds, listen as it rings
These are a few of my favorite things

When the heart aches
When the tears fall
When we're feeling sad
Simply remember these favorite things
And then you wont feel so bad

Hanging on to hope

Sure in the silence
despite impending violence
To thee we grope
for life and hope
And without your power
all is lost and devoured
We lay these woes at your feet
and humbly ask you to defeat
Those foes of wholeness and health
that overtake with cunning and stealth
In the long darkness ahead
guide and protect us from being misled
Give sweet dreams and strong assurance
lest sorrow and doubt test our endurance
Calm fully the burdened mind
and peace, help us each to find

Gone again to a world not my own

"My Love" By Sia

My love, leave yourself behind
Beat inside me, leave you blind
My love, you have found peace
You were searching for relief

You gave it all, gave into the call
You took a chance and
You took a fall for us

You came thoughtfully, loved me faithfully
You taught me honor, you did it for me

Tonight you will sleep for good
You will wait for me my love

Now I am strong
You gave me all
You gave all you had and now I am home

My love, leave yourself behind
Beat inside me, leave you blind
My love, look what you can do
I am mending, I'll be with you

You took my hand added a plan
You gave me your heart
I asked you to dance with me

You loved honestly
Did what you could release

I know you're pleased to go
I won't relieve this love

Now I am strong
You gave me all
You gave all you had and now I am home

My love, leave yourself behind
Beat inside me, I'll be with you

Fast approaching my moment of clarity

Make Me Moonlight

Sometimes life is so hard
How do we last each day without weeping
God you spread strength among us
and we don't realize it is there
until something overcomes and we see
I know I can't understand it
but now I sense part of that mystery
some eternal comprehension overwhelms me
and in the night I am broken before you
lost and seeking your truth
but I don't know the questions to ask
Oh Lord my heart is full
and my tears overflow
time and changes seem so frightful
and make me timid and yet
somehow more brave- because I know
only you have the answers
and I know you love me and hold me close
Please calm my mind and quiet my soul
make me moonlight
a reflection of the Son.

Every girl has a lost path

Last night we walked arm in arm
beneath spring moonlight and early evening stars
Something about you speaks to me
Words of promise, words of hope
I can't deny it
And I don't want to
My request is patience, a moment of trust in time
If you give me the chance
If you find it in your heart
Something about you speaks to me
I ask for the gift of grace, an unearned reward
In return I give my greatest effort
Ask for more, and it may be yours
But that is for the future
For now, something about you speaks to me

Digging up the past

Its a cold January night
But the stars are out
And instead of losing hope
I'm filled with star light

It's not intense and bright
Rather its soft and eternal
I feel its guidance
Yet without being demanding

Star light is noble
Easy to be ignored
Still deeply inspiring
If you haven't notice lately

look up
